Make Simple Pleasures Your Priority
What are your "Simple Pleasures" and how do they impact how your feel? A fellow coach and friend of mine, Malcolm Evans believes what happens on the outside is born on the inside. Absolutely Malcomb. Spot on.
Think of Simple Pleasures as those that give you a positive vibe, are brief, easy to do and cost little to nothing. The things you can, and should experience daily.
I was asked about this recently, thought about it a bit and created the WordCloud below with data from a Simple Pleasures Tool I created. It scores forty Simple Pleasures I could think of with some reading and personal reflection.

I found this exercise to be profound. Some of my thoughts follow:
- Do the most important things that help you experience your Simple Pleasures more often,- Do other things less to make more time for important things,- Many of the Simple Pleasures are more fun when surrounded by family and friends,- The outcomes of the exercise are very personal. Few people would mirror each other,- The exercise can be completed in under two hours.
Some may find the foregoing to be obvious. Others may may need a small jolt to change the things holding them back. Still others may need more focus and training to strengthen the part of the brain that serves us and quiet the part that sabotages us.
I believe experiencing the Simple Pleasures are part of a formula to lead a healthier, more balanced and fulfilling life.Best wishes to you as you pursue your dreams.
